Travelling to Saturn

IMG_0507[1]Last week we were contacted by a couple members of a UAH team designing a spacecraft. UAH engineering seniors do a senior design project, called an integrated project team, or IPT. The competition between the teams is fierce, and this year is no exception. The team that contacted us wanted to build a model of their spacecraft, designed to fly to Saturn’s moon Enceladus, and land on its surface. They built both the orbiter and a bus system below. The team gave me a copy of their mission video, below too. They were great to work with and I hope their model puts them over the top as the best IPT for 2013.
