Spring Break Dimensions Class Review

By: Rob Adams on April 18, 2013

I wanted to share a few builds from our afternoon spring break class, Dimensions. We are offering this class this summer as well.  The class is basically a chance for 11-14 year olds to build their own projects with our staff watching and providing tutelage. There were so many projects the kids tackled that I didn’t get pictures of them all. One boy managed to draw out his own bookcase and we cut it on the CNC. He then assembled it, and made a roof to go with it.IMG_0455[1]We ended up replacing the top and his mom sent us pictures of the bookshelf after painting.

you may have spied a small box on the first picture. That is his jewelry box made for Mother’s Day. Here’s a close up. He also made a cut out Alabama symbol for himself.

Speaking of Alabama symbols. Check out these that were created by one of the other boys.

IMG_0430[1]There was a diamond sword made too but I didn’t get a picture of it! Aaargh.

A couple of the boys also made a prototype hoverboard, but I think that deserves its own post. We’ll get that one out soon.
