This news about a man having three quarters of his skull replaced has been going around the internet for a while. In case you haven’t seen it Engadget covers it here. I’m not sure what I can add to the discussion. There is research ongoing right now on how to use 3d printers to make buildings, grow organs, and generally do things barely imagined in science fiction. There is still a lot of development left to be done, but it isn’t hard to see why digital fabrication is a revolution waiting to happen.
