MindGear Labs conducts numerous science and arts activities for kids. We are seeking someone with experience teaching children, preferably in the age 7-13 range. This position would involve overseeing development of new activities such as school field trips, Boy/Girl Scouts earning badges, summer camps, LEGO robotics teams, Minecraft parties and more. Applicant will be required to learn the basics of our unique capabilities (laser cutter, 3d printer, CNC mill, etc.) and incorporate these capabilities into planned kids activities. The successful applicant will also lead MindGear’s marketing efforts, communicating to our followers on social media channels, talking to public and private school educators and attending local expos. Finally, the successful applicant must be able to lead MindGear’s lab assistants in achieving the above tasks and to train Lab Assistants to lead developed activities.
This is a part time position during the school year, and can be performed in the evenings and weekends. The required hours will increase during times when school is not in session, such as spring and summer break.
