Our kids class, Historical Inventors, is Saturday at 4 pm and we are talking about Benjamin Franklin. We all know him as one of the fathers of our country, but did you know he was an accomplished scientist and inventor. The Franklin stove was named after him, and he developed bifocals. And we all know about the kite and electricity. Although there are a lot of false stories about the kite.

Its fortuitous that we’re learning about Ben Franklin because we at MindGear want to follow his sage advice, “Do Well by Doing Good”. By doing good deeds for others, we benefit as well. Today we’re announcing our scholarship program, so that those who could not otherwise afford to use the lab can do so. More details can be found here. This program is for those who have a genuine need to develop new skills, or wish to build projects to benefit a non-profit in our area. We are looking forward to adding some new members to our ranks. Please forward this to anyone you know that would be interested.
